Launched as part of Canada’s modernization of immigration and citizenship services, the e-Certificate is a secure, downloadable PDF version of your Canadian citizenship certificate.

You can choose the e-Certificate option when submitting an online application for a replacement Canadian citizenship certificate.

Pros:

• Faster processing and delivery
• Can be saved to your device for multiple uses
• Easy to submit digitally for services that accept electronic documentation

Cons:
